What's New
SConfig (server core configuration tool) now starts by default on Server Core. A user can opt-out from this behavior by using Set-SConfig cmdlet in PowerShell. In which case, the default shell will be PowerShell, as opposite to CMD in earlier version of Windows Server. An exception from this is when PowerShell is removed from the server, in which case CMD is launched by default.
Additionally, if user closes SConfig or PowerShell window, it will restart automatically, hence avoiding "black screen" (no shell) situation.
Known Issues
Shutdown Event Tracker is displayed every time a user logs on even when the user is a member of the administrators group and the user has closed the tracker window properly.
Auto Logon does not work correctly in some scenarios.
RESOLVED: Build-to-Build upgrade was failing after the introduction of Edge into the builds. The fix is in today's Insider build.
